The Landcare Adventure Weekend starts with a bike journey from Bermagui to The Crossing camp and finishes with a canoe return. Two nights are spent at the camp in a train carriage bunkhouse.
The adventure begins at 5pm on Friday at the Bermagui boat ramp. The course finishes at 1pm on the Sunday back at the boat ramp at the end of the canoe journey.
The program includes Landcare & sustainability tasks to learn skills in a fun community environment. There is also a twilight bush exploration journey into Saturday evening which adds to the storytelling around the campfire at night.
This Landcare Adventure weekend is a perfect opportunity to make friends with young people from other schools in the South East region and to find out more about secondary school. By integrating year 6 and 7 there is a lot of learning to be had and a lot of fun. The camp games and the Landcare tree planting are a great feature of this camp.
This event is sponsored by the Far South Coast Landcare Association Inc.
