Date(s) - 19/07/2016 - 22/07/2016
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Crossing Land Education Trust
July Advanced Wilderness First Aid (AWFA) for overnight journeys and remote areas (where remote means that you can expect help to take more than an hour to reach you). This course is for teachers who supervise hikes, for outdoor instructors or young volunteers taking on leadership roles. You will learn a lot in a short time and feel more confident about what to do when an emergency arises and you find yourself needing to improvise.
The July Advanced Wilderness First Aid course provides CPR and Remote First Aid qualifications over 4 days with Senior First Aid not required as Remote is a higher qualification. This course is a minimum qualification for being more than 1 hour from help.
Run by Pat Guinane from Wilderness First Aid Consultants at The Crossing
The July Advanced Wilderness First Aid course is focused on practical hands-on scenarios. $560 for local day trippers and $700 for stay overs (you can BYO tent or stay in the bunk house. 3 Breakfasts and 3 dinners provided for stay overs). BYO lunch and other day snacks in a daypack so you can be mobile for the scenarios.
- 4 days from Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 Feb
