These camps are open to any young people particularly young people from the south east region. Young people from further afield are also welcome, especially those who don’t have a chance to come with their school. We also encourage young people who want to come back under their own steam after being here with a school group.
We like the fact that young people choose to attend these individually booked camps. Often these independent camps have the support of other organisations including Landcare, the Yuin Folk Club, Songmakers and the Biamanga National Park Board. As a result the camps give young people some awareness of the great work done by other community organisations that support The Crossing. We love that young people who choose to attend these camps are self-motivated and very interested in learning and lending a hand. Many of the friendships begun on these camps are still lasting friendships today.
The camps are always much anticipated by our staff and we get such positive feedback from those that attend. We hope your experience is just as great as ours.
